Terri Kroll

Guidance Counselor

Terri is completing her first year at ArtsWest. Prior to joining our faculty, she has held positions at various agencies working with children and families. Most recently, she served as a consultant for the Idaho Department of Education. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota, her Masters of Education in Guidance and Counseling from North Dakota State University, and her Pupil Personnel Endorsement from Northwest Nazarene University.

In addition to supporting the students at ArtsWest, Terri enjoys spending time with her family. She prefers to be outside gardening, skiing, or being at the lake whenever possible. She likes to read, cook and knit too.

Philosophy

I believe learning is a lifelong process. Because of this, the ArtsWest Counseling Program reflects that philosophy by encouraging active participation in the development of lifelong skills. These skills are designed to assist students in the pursuit of their life goals. Counseling program activities are based on specific objectives and developmental student competencies. These apply to all students and encourage active participation, mutual respect and individual accountability. I believe that diversity should be respected and appreciated as we work to continually foster unity in our school community. My role as the counselor is to facilitate and support each student’s exploration and development of their personal goals.
