Naomi Miller started taking piano lessons at the age of 10, later than most of her peers. She was determined to make up for lost time and practiced hard to catch up. By high school, she was playing Chopin and Debussy with the best of them. Along the way she discovered a passion for music, specifically piano, and decided to make it her life's work. She studied under Dr. Del Parkinson at BSU and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music.
In her freshman year of college, Naomi started giving private piano lessons to earn extra money and was pleasantly surprised to find it enjoyable and rewarding. She has been teaching ever since (taking off a few years to get married and have four kids). Since joining the ArtsWest family, she has extended her teaching to include group classes. Her goal is to make learning piano fun and stress-free - both in the studio and the classroom - and to instill her love of music into her students.
