Cy Gilbert

Cy Gilbert majored in the B.A. program of Flute Performance at Central Washington University after having studied for many years with the highly-regarded pedagogue, Patricia George. Since then, he has performed in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Latin America, as well as having received various prestigious musical awards and honors throughout his career. Mr. Gilbert's formal studies have also included personal coachings and masterclasses with such world-renown performers as Jean-Pierre Rampal, Julius Baker, and James Galway.

Cy has dedicated many years to establishing his musical reputation as a private flute instructor and an artist of the highest caliber, with a specialization in the French flute literature. He has worked with the Boise Philharmonic, the Meridian Symphony, the Hymns of Thanksgiving Orchestra, and the Riverwind Quintet, and recently released his debut recording featuring mainly French repertoire in collaboration with pianist, Tawna Love.
