ArtsWest began in 2007 as a full secondary private school. Ownership changed in 2009 when the school became a non-profit corporation managed by a Board of Directors.  

Since its creation, ArtsWest has had numerous graduates, many of whom have moved on to the nation's top visual and performing arts schools.
